I have to say I love your humanized portrail of the Xiaolin Characters over their cartoon selves...
The Dragons, young and innocent, sheltered from the darkness and obscenities of the real world, yet forcing their own moral code upon it.
Jack, a dark and troubled teen, shunned and outcast by not only his upbringing and appearance, but by events that shaped him in his personal and psychological life.
And Chase, the wild card. What the Good Doctor would label 'That which should not be.'
Love the work, absolutely brilliant.

This is a post I made for ch. 16 of Crossroads:
I just read the entire story from beginning to end for the first time. O.O It took... many hours. I took lots of bathroom breaks and 2 food breaks, but after about 5 hours, I finished! I feel kind of disoriented now, actually. Staring at a screen for so long and submersing yourself in a different world for so long is... again, disorienting, for lack of a better word.
You and Jil did a great job. Although I don't think I can ever forgive Chase for some of the things he did- The ending is nice, indeed. Back in the earlier chapters, I would occasionally cry, yes, cry, a bit at the hopelessness of the situation. It pained me so much. But that's what writing is about. Conveying emotions to other people... And you and Jil have done a fantastic job of doing this. I respect you both endlessly. <3 I will be sure to love on Jil too.
I never liked this pairing much, and honestly I still don't, but this is such a great story that I could look past that. Unfortunately, I will probably never look at Chase or Jack the same. But this is such an epic tale, excuse the cheesiness, that I think in the end it might be all worth it. I feel like I just watched an entire series from start to finish, it was so detailed and amazing.
